Assistant Professor of Geotechnical Engineering, IIT Mandi

Dr Ashutosh Kumar is an Assistant Professor of Geotechnical Engineering at IIT Mandi, an INAE Young Associate and DAAD Research Ambassador. He is a Visiting Fellow at Durham University and serves on the editorial board of ASCE’s International Journal of Geomechanics. His honours include IIT Bombay’s Best PhD Thesis Award, the BGA Medal (2025), DAAD Scholarship (2024), Royal Society International Exchanges Award (2023), IACMAG Excellent Paper Award (2025), and John Carter Award (2022).
